This year marks the 200th birthday of British novelist and social critic Charles Dickens.  Dickens created characters that pointed out gross failings of organized religion to address true issues of stewardship and poverty. A member of the Church of England, In addition to his classic novels, Dickens also wrote The Life of our Lord, a slim volume dedicated to his children that provides a simple overview of the gospel and urges young readers to “do good, always.” Click here to read the complete article by Peggy Fletcher Stack posted on the Religion News Service website.
