The Stewardship of Life Institute, founded in 1994, is headquartered at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, located in historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The Institute’s mission is to serve stewardship in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America through its seminaries.
The Institute carries on the vision and work of its founder and benefactor, the late Arthur L. Larson, who died in 2000. The institute is a nonprofit corporation with 501(c)(3) status, which enables it to receive tax-deductible charitable contributions.
The executive director of the Stewardship of Life Institute is the Rev. Dr. Marty Stevens, who is also Associate Professor in the Arthur L. Larson Chair of Stewardship and Parish Ministry at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg.
The Rev. Rob Blezard serves as the Institute’s web editor and content curator. He is called as an assistant to the bishop of the Lower Susquehanna Synod, ELCA.
