God’s people are yearning for tools and help them draw closer to the divine. Here are a number of resources that you may suggest. Why not offer 10-minute Temple Talk on how to use them? Maybe form a study group to pray and use a devotional daily and meet weekly as they journey together for Lent?
Here are some great free online devotionals that can help people grow in faith this Lenten season:
‘I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say’ – Here is a fresh devotional for 2019 from Luther Seminary.
People of the Passion, from Lutheran Hour Ministries, is available in a number of formats — podcast, download, email subscription.
40 Ideas for Keeping a Holy Lent, from Nadia Bolz Weber, the “Sarcastic Lutheran.” Good, practical, simple ideas.
Lenten Devotional: Stewardship Principles, from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN. It’s a dandy Lenten daily stewardship devotional, but it’s dated for a different year. Change the dates and you’ve got a winner!
Connecting with God, Myself, Others, from Alternatives for Simple Living, offers a meditation, a reading suggestion or an activity for every day of Lent. Very creative!
Care for Creation this Lent, links to sites with great ideas, from Earth Ministry.
Here are some Lenten Devotionals that aren’t specifically about stewardship, but really good.
Pittsburgh Theologial Seminary – For 2019 PTS offers a variety of Lenten devotional resources in print, video or audio. Select the one that works for you. Sign up for email devotions.
