SOLI Suspending Grant Program for Review
The Stewardship of Life Institute is suspending its Stewardship Education Grant Program for at least through the Fall 2021 granting cycle. The Board of Directors decided on the suspension to provide a time both to evaluate the continuing effectiveness of the grants and to explore other ways of fulfilling SOLI’s mission to promote stewardship education in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

In 2014 the Stewardship of Life Institute started its grant program as a way to encourage creative, collaborative, grassroots efforts to teach stewardship to church leaders in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
It began out of recognition that across our church many congregational leaders did not have the information or tools they needed to lead their churches into financial stability. We welcome seminaries, judicatories, congregations and other church partners to put together ideas and programs that will assist the leaders they serve.
Since 2014 the Stewardship of Life Institute has awarded tens of thousands of dollars to fund creative projects from dozens of partners.
